Church of the Good Shepherd

Because the Christian life is a supernatural life, the only way to live it is by means of supernatural power. No one can live the Christian life in his or her own power and natural strength because we are dead in our trespasses and sins, Ephesians 2:1. God must empower us to live with His power. He brings us to life, and then He indwells us and enables us to live His kind of life. “When we obey His command, He gives us His presence without limit. The filling of the Holy Spirit is His enabling.” (Will Pounds)
 
So, what are some of the ways we communicate with God?
 
Spoken word/mouth
By Prayer: What is prayer? Prayer is our direct line with heaven. Prayer is a communication process that allows us to talk to God! He wants us to communicate with Him, like a person-to-person phone call. The connection made is through the Blood, by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Prayer takes us to the heart of God. It’s here that we come to understand how to dialog with the King. Constant communication with heaven reveals to us His Kingdom will and the ways of the King. We learn to wait & listen for as long as it takes. Prayer should be the most dynamic conversation you ever have!!! If you don’t pray, you don’t talk to the king and He can’t reply back.
 
Worship
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Relationship with God demands that the seeker be spiritual. Divine connection and communication is needed. When we adopt a position of Gods divine holiness coupled with the understanding of how much He loves us we realizes His worthiness of all that our hearts and souls can give.
 
Walking with the Lord
 Mans biggest relational problem is he doesn’t communicate well. If were not talking to God were probably not talking to the right folk. If were not spending time in the WORD then were not giving time to the Lord. Walking with the Lord means there is some reciprocation on both parties. We have to spend time with Him so that He can express His heart and desires for our lives. When we understand how much He longs to be with us and how much he likes to be with us, then our lives can change and begin the process of fellowship and walking with Him. If were not putting effort into our faith then were not investing in our destiny. If all our time is spent on earthly matters then were not likely to be affecting eternal purposes.
